Denisa-Sorana Cîșlariu (b. 2001, Oradea) is a Romanian artist and filmmaker. Her multidisciplinary skills shift and shine according to the requirements of each project or task. From graphic design to video, screeprinting or installation, Cîșlariu's pieces tackle important contemporary social issues, such as queer experience, feminism, or capitalism. She aproaches these subjects in a neo-avangarde and neo-conceptualist manner, often times choosing unorthodox mediums.
Through her female, eastern-european gaze, Cîșlariu hopes to aid in shining a light on the things that she deems important, making conversation pieces that inspire an internal monologue in each of us, as well as sparking a dialogue among people.
At the moment she is living in Valencia, Spain, working on her second short film called Luz Azul (Blue Light), that is dealing with future ethics questions surrounding AI.
